Apple Tree Wards to Work Film Production

The Alpha Connection Performing Arts and Film Production Class

This class is offered to all Alpha Connection residents. It teaches basic concepts of acting, film production and music. The class is designed to instruct the residents of Alpha Connection on the basics of film production, film editing from concept to creation. Each participant will have the opportunity to create a film or documentary on whatever social issue they choose.

It is the belief of the Alpha Connection that children exposed to the arts will become well adjusted and increase their level of self-esteem. Our residents are currently working on various projects with the hopes of raising consciousness to areas like date rape, alcoholism, self-esteem, violence, drugs, gangs and suicide. We believe that creating video on these subject matters is a very progressive way to get at-risk minors to look at issues that plague their environment.
