Daily and evening structured recreational activities will be organized for the residents. Evening recreational activities will include all those activities listed on the daily schedule. There will be one or two outings per weekend. These outings will include trips to state, county and city parks, the beach and public swimming pools. There will be visits to area museums, public libraries and historic landmarks. Residents will have an opportunity to go roller skating, horseback riding and bowling. The following recreational equipment will be available to the residents:

The staff will plan weekly field trips which will include museums, nature centers and parks. The following facilities are among those that the residents will visit:

In conjunction with the field trips, basic recreational skills will be developed through staff supervised programs. Residents will be instructed in such activities as roller and ice skating skills, and will be encouraged to participate in community recreational activities such as 5K runs. These activities will improve interpersonal relationships and self esteem.
